Carr Kaufmann, CPM

Carr received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Clemson University and his Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. He attended the Carl Duisberg Institute in Radolfezell, Germany studying the German language with international professionals and students. He is a recipient of the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship, one of 50 people selected nationwide. Under this grant Carr was paid to study and work in Germany. Upon his return from Germany he received the Goethe Institute Certificate for the highest score possible in comprehension of the German language. In 1994 Carr received his Real Estate License and in 2008 the Certified Property Manager, (CPM), designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, (IREM). Carr served on the Board of Directors for IREM’s Georgia Chapter and was the 2012 Chapter President. During Carr’s term as President, IREM’s Georgia Chapter received IREM’s prestigious Gold Award for excellence for the first time in the history of the Chapter, recognizing the Georgia Chapter as the best chapter in the world. Carr has over twenty-seven years of commercial real estate experience and holds real estate broker licenses for the states of Georgia and South Carolina. His primary focus in commercial real estate has been in property management of office, retail, industrial and medical space. His responsibilities have also included asset management, business development, and management of interior tenant construction, large and small building renovations, as well as major development and redevelopment projects. Examples of completed projects include build-to-suits for the American Cancer Society, Southern Tennis Association, Georgia Automobile Dealers Association, animal hospitals in Alpharetta, GA and Phoenix, AZ, several retail stores for an expanding California-based smoothie franchise and the redevelopment of high-rise urban office buildings in Atlanta. The aggregate value of construction projects managed by Carr exceeds $300,0000,000. Carr also has extensive experience in managing lease acquisitions on behalf of the General Services Administration with projects across the United States and in Puerto Rico. To date Carr has managed over 100 Federal lease transactions. Current and past project sizes range from approximately 1,000 to 300,000 square feet with a collective value in excess of $100,000,000.
In his free time, Carr enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as repairing cars, boating, reading, and traveling.

John B. Wright, Jr., CCIM

John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Management from Clemson University with a Concentration in Real Estate and Minor in Accounting in December of 2010. While at Clemson, John was a member of the football team from 2006-2010 where he walked on, earned a scholarship, and lettered in his final two seasons of 2009 and 2010.
After graduating from Clemson, John spent over a year working in the financial services industry assisting clients with investment, retirement, and estate planning. He joined McCoy Wright in July of 2012 as a brokerage associate. John quickly found his niche in the commercial real estate industry as evidenced by the more than $60 Million that he has brokered and developed since joining the team. In 2015, John earned the coveted CCIM Designation, which is the highest certification in the commercial real estate industry. In January of 2020 John took over McCoy Wright as President and became the fourth generation owner.
He is very involved in the community and was elected to the At-Large Seat for Anderson School District Five in November of 2016. He has served on the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where he became the youngest Board Chair in the organization’s history at just 28 years old. He has also served on the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and the Junior Leadership Anderson Advisory Committee.
John currently serves on the Anderson University Board of Visitors, Ten At The Top Board of Directors, and the Appalachian Development Corporation Board. He is a graduate of Leadership Anderson and is also an active member of New Spring Church. He was recognized by the Anderson Independent Mail as one of the top 20 business leaders in the community under the age of 40 in 2012 and was also recognized by the South Carolina School Board Association for his commitment to public education.
John and his wife, Courtland, reside in Anderson with their two sons, Brazeal and Ballard, and he is passionate about carrying on a family and business legacy in Anderson that spans over seven decades and four generations.

Emory J. Williamson, Jr.

Emory is a Qualifying Broker in Georgia and South Carolina and serves McCoy Wright, Inc. as its EVP and BIC with specific focus on corporate oversight, business development and regional tenant rep programs and relationships.
He transacts in all states and handles franchisee & corporate location development from Canada to Florida – encompassing all states east of the Mississippi River as well as leases, acquisitions, build-to-suits and fee development. His commercial real estate experience spans 23 years and includes current management at any one time upwards of 25 site engagements in various markets having included New York, Ontario, Rhode Island, Florida, Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Maryland, Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. He regularly works with franchisor/franchisee & corporate engagements on market identification, site location, negotiation, acquisitions, lease negotiations, BTS, fee development, lease revisions, lease work-outs, dispositions and expansions. Emory has and currently works with the following brands some of which include franchisees: Brakes 4 Less, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Pivotal Growth Partners, I-Hop, 7-Eleven, BizMax Copy Centers, Dunkin Brands, Quick Trip, Circle K and AAMCO. He currently reviews approximately 50 site submissions a week for represented brands in all geographic markets.
